That colouring actually works really well, i never understood the joint in the middle eyes thing, the whiter fur on his brow adapts that brilliantly.

Its hard to make a realistic sonic in a live action world in the genere they are going for in the movie. I feel that this drawing of sonic fits more in the 3D animated category that's toony but has realistic textures and feel to it, like final fantasy or Epic or Strange Magic. If there was to be an animated sonic movie that's not live action, I would like it if he looks like this

Now, I wish this was the Sonic we were getting in the movie. He's the right amount of a cartoonish and realistic look with how fuzzy he is and how his quills look. I like the white patch of fur between his eyes as a reference to his connected "one eye" look.Β

This is so dang cute! I like how you made his spines actually look like spines instead of the weird long "hair" of the movie Sonic. This is such a wonderful way of making Sonic look more like a hedgehog without making him look really creepy/uncanny XDΒ

I think the white patch of fur between the eyes is meant to replace the cyclops eye of his canon design. I think it's cute, like a little spot you see on a dog's face XD

I think it's 'cause in his canonical design his eyes are connected, and due to the fact that would look weird in a more realistic design the fur between his eyes are just made to be white to be representative of that.
