Physical Description: Lokyi is a very dark cat with darker markings. He has minimal spotting and is lean and long legged with fur more lion-like than leopard-like. He has green eyes and darker front paws. He's about the size of a lioness and instead of having a mane has thicker, scruffier fur around his head, neck, and chest.

Personality

Prideful - Charismatic - Loyal - Brash - Insecure - Sensitive - Driven

Lokyi is a mix of conflicting personalities; he's both prideful and driven but also insecure and sensitive. He's convinced himself that if he wants anything in life, it's all on him to get it. As such, he's developed a bad habit of telling himself that he's the greatest cat to walk Massilia, he's just waiting to be discovered. He wants nothing more than to be known as something great and will stop at nothing to get it. Once he puts his mind to something it's hard to get him to stop. Self-doubt is one of his greatest weaknesses which leads him to act brashly to try and conquer it. Once he makes a friendship he's loyal, almost to a fault. He puts himself out there as a cat who is both prideful and charismatic, but is secretly sensitive and harsh words can be nearly crippling for him though he tries not to show it.

History

Lokyi was one of three cubs of an accidental litter by the lioness Awla and leopon Argon. Neither Awla or Argon should have been parents; they were too old and grumpy to put in any real care towards their cubs. Despite neither wanting cubs, they raised Lokyi and his sisters with a heavy paw. On top of being consistently told he was an accident, Lokyi was even more disliked than his sisters due to his melanistic coat. Awla and Argon were superstitious and in their eyes Lokyi's coat was bad luck, a potential curse. Their dislike for him was apparent to everyone, including their owners who shared his parents same superstitions. Until he was sold to a new owner, he was rarely called by his name, mainly being referred to as 'Sin' or 'Curse'. Lokyi was desperate to earn his parents and sisters' approval and vowed to be either the greatest fighter the coliseum had seen or greatest hunter Massilia had ever had.

Once he was old enough he was sold to Avinia Lewinsiki, and given to her son (Kallen Lewinsiki) to be a body guard as he went about his duties in they city. Lokyi wasn't content with being a lowly body guard, but did his best to treat it as a stepping stone. Whenever he had a chance he would sneak away and watch the wardens (always from a distance). He would get into mock fights with other cats to train himself. His owner quickly realized that Lokyi had a penchant for hiding in plain sight and after a few tries to train it out of him gave up. He put Lokyi in a few lower-stakes (no killing) fights and realized that his cat showed potential. Not wanting to risk him in the coliseum, he asked his mother to see if she could pull a few strings or pay to have Lokyi placed into the hunter program. Not wanting to risk losing him to the empire cats, Kallen had Lokyi placed as a sentinel. Despite this, Lokyi vowed to himself that he would one day become a hunter and lead the wardens to even more greatness.
