The first installment of my brand-new Sketchy Dates comics. This didn't take as long as I thought it would, since I started inking it last night and finished everything earlier this afternoon. Hope you guys like this one, 'cause there's more to come, soon!Next comic:Β

I understand the joke but i have seen people do it before. give more detail to your wings. try shading to give a more dimensional feel to the panels. the execution of Granny's reaction is golden. the art style is very "Sketchy" (pun was intended) and my overall belief is its a good start to something. believe in yourself sketchy and you will succeed. practice makes perfect. but you'll always need to practice. because as an artist you will always find something to improve on. This has been your's Truely Cobalt Breeze and simply i say good luck sketchy, chap.

I really love the first take you have for your Sketchy Dates series. One of the things this picture has me wishing was different was face contortions. It feels the faces are weirdly leaning lower than the right part of the face. The only panel that doesn't seem to have that problem is the second and third panels where for the second, you have your key players in a simplified art style which require symmetry and the third image with Granny seem very accurate to her looks in the show but in your artstyle. But the other problem is on Granny's face herself. That right eye looks too small even if it is trying to convey a chip in her shoulder. If I could see the details of the eye a little bit more clearly, then I would have no complaints on your depiction of Granny. With that eye issue, it makes her look incomplete to some extent.
Overall, this was a good start in my book. Some design hiccups but hey, it's only the beginning.

I never liked the concept of OCs and cast members together but, as long as you enjoy yourself drawing it's fine.. Your art style is really good.

I meant the fact that she was specifying EARTH pony, considering that four of the mane six are not earth ponies, and the princess is an alicorns. I feel like this was supposed to be a racism joke, but it got to be too specific for me to get. It's like somebody living in Africa suddenly getting mad at somebody for being Japanese.
