Description Part of a series of works for my Final Illustration Project, [DEMIURGE] (on-going)

This is the cropped version of the original artwork (because KS said this composition worked best), and fully digitally painted in Photoshop in less than 20 hours --- but that's because I'm used to drawing/painting natural landscapes and rocks are my forte...

The concept behind this environment
Within Valhalla, being the previous kingdom of the dragon kings before it was destroyed, there was a cave that came to be known as the Tomb of the Dragon Kings, where former overlords were buried after they died (despite their long lifespan of a few hundred years, they're not fully immortal, being of mixed blood that of dragon and human).

To even reach it, is hard, much less to assail it, for no one ever returned alive after entering the Tomb, a place interwoven tightly with ancient magic. Thus it requires more than strength and willpower to even survive the place --- but perhaps that's why the Dragon Kings made it their final resting place, for they know no one can disturb their eternal rest if anyone out of their right mind so ever choose to enter the Tomb to challenge them for their dormant power (that they still hold, even after death).

i disagree with jinog, the birds are fine, it helps set the scene and keep a strong narrative. Like you said, they are not the focal point, my eye actual goes to the boat and makes me think about whats going on as a narrative.

This is nice! I especially like the water. The birds are a little too simple in full view in my opinion.

If I make the birds detailed, it might distract the focus from the view behind it, but I accept your point Thanks for the comment!

Yes, that might happen. They do add something though, to the whole piece. And your welcome
