Outside if writing and planning for it, about 2-5 hours per page, depending on how many non-head objects appear on the page.

Ah yeah I figured it would be about that--comic making takes a lot of work! Well, any art does, really, but you get my point. I'm sure that planning and writing take even longer. I'm guessing heads take the longest to draw, because you have to get the facial expression right?

XD oh no, heads (and hands) are super fast, because I've practiced them the most.
It's the non-head stuff that throws me off, like scenery, crowds, nature, and perspective. Any page with scenery usually takes me an extra hour to produce, as opposed to a dialogue-heavy page with a bunch of faces.

Ooooh, ok. That makes sense. I'm actually the opposite, because I've had so little experiences with faces/heads. The whole body in general, really (except for hands haha). Though that's not to say I'd be very *good* at scenery, just more so than drawing people.

You should just draw a comic about a bunch of astronauts floating in space, and then your problems would be solved! Easy peasy backgrounds!

LOL one of my favorite cheats is clouds. As soon as my characters learn to fly in the clouds we're gonna be drawing at record speeds.

haha who says they need to learn first? Just stick em on up there and if anyone questions it say it's symbolic! It's a metaphor for, ah, you know, witch stuff. It's all very deep, really. Too hard for most readers to understand.
