Congrats for getting this monster of a project finished! I just notice this; did you intentionally put the four goalies with color on their helmets in the corners? It's a nice touch since it adds a subconscious frame around the others.
And I'll suggest something only because I always am trying to find ways to improve, not because of any shortcomings in the design. It would be awesome if instead of a plain black background you could add some version of the NHL logo. I'm guessing you'll respond that they wouldn't like it if you used the real one because of copyright infringement... which is probably true. If you designed something of your own though and put that as the background, it might unite each separate picture better. I don't know, I've been known to be wrong before... just a suggestion that would be interesting to try.

Yes and no, I didn't plan on doing that from the very beginning but once I saw that I was going to have four with color I decided to put them in the corners.
You're right, I would have said that haha That's a good idea though, and one I would probably try if I was more of a graphic artist but I'm not very good at coming up with logos or anything like that. I'm sure the whole layout of this could be much more cohesive in general, maybe in the future I'll re-do the design so it looks a little better.

Remember you're in a community of artist, some of whom specialize in logos and collages. I'm sure you could befriend one or figure out a trade, especially if they are a hockey fan. I think if you have a more professionally done layout it'll add much more to the drawings. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses which is why a team will always be stronger than an individual. If graphic arts is not your strong point, there are probably numerous people out there who will be able to help you with that. They are probably wishing they could draw as well as you so they would have material to work their magic on. This is one reason I believe dA is a great resource for an aspiring artist. True, much of it seems to be a popularity contest and people throwing anything together and calling it art. Then there are a minority of people like yourself who have a genuine talent and passion for art. Seek out these people and I'm sure both you and they will be better off for it.
*gets off soapbox* Eh, sorry about all that. I get carried away on motivational speeches occasionally. I will keep an eye out for people with a gallery full of logos. If I find any, I'll let you know first so you can browse their gallery and work something out with them if you like their style. Heh, now I'm just being downright nosy and intrusive with the pretense of being helpful.

Yeah you are right, though I haven't 'networked' on here very much if at all really. If I don't work on the layout myself I might just ask my Aunt to help if I see her over the holidays. (she's a graphic artist) Honestly right now I'm a little sick of messing with it haha so for now it stays the same, but I'm not really 100 percent satisfied with the layout or even all the drawings so some time in the future I'm sure I'll submit and up-dated one.
