Reminds me of those quick-sketch courtroom scenes. Then again, it IS a quick-sketch and if an entire hockey team was in a courtroom, this is what it's look like.
What type of pen did you use? Was it a regular ball-point pen or a technical pen? If it was a technical pen, what brand did you use? I'm guessing it is because a normal black ball-point doesn't quite color this smoothly. But it may just look different scanned in.
And good eye for the detail even though your subject is cluttered, especially that middle sections with five sticks and their attached arms tangled together.

haha that's an interesting analogy.
I honestly just grabbed a pen that was lying around to sketch this, I checked it though and it was a Bic Atlantis.
