This ore eating kaiju has a symbiotic relationship with micro organism that live inside his body. these organism feed off the rocks and minerals that Protogama consumes, and in return the micro organism produce a crystal like structure that provides Protogama's with a strong crystal like armor that can forms and grows on various parts of there bodies. there are 3 subspecies of protogama's, they are the common, the obsidian, and glistening. there magma heat rays help with burrowing and defending themselves from would be attacks. though not a danger to major city's this kaiju has destroyed many mines in search of an easy meal.

The Common Protogama is the one you see here, can be found worldwide and lives mostly on the surfaces. it eats various rocks and minerals and has no specific type of rock or mineral it consumes. its armor is the second strongest out of the 3 and is the least aggressive. its crystal regeneration is the also the second fastest, but its magma heat ray is the weakest out of the 3.

The Obsidian Protogama can be found in volcanic regions mainly active regions and also live mostly on the surfaces but will spend days submerged in molten rock, unlike the common protogama that feed off all ores the black protogama only feeds on volcanic rock and crystals and there fore its armor is very similar to obsidian. its armor is the weakest out of the 3 and is more aggressive than the common, its crystal regeneration is the fastest out of the 3 and has the most powerful magma heat ray.

The Glistening Protogama is the rarest out of bunch and can only be found deep underground in a few select parts around the world, little is actually know about this protogama due to being found only deep underground, whats is know is that its feed off only rare types of crystals and gems and its skin glows with a golden hue. it has the strongest armor out of the 3 as well as being the most aggressive out of the 3 due to having to protect its valuable food source . its crystal regeneration is the slowest, but its magma heat ray is just as strong as the black protogama.
