My friend Noey (~blackpearleyes ) and her family recently lost their dog. I wanted to do a small something to help them feel better (especially her mom) so that is the reason for this speedpaint.
You guys are in my prayers and I hope everything goes okay. I hope you guys feel better.

Beautiful <3 I love the surreal, storybook sort of feel of this piece. Your versatility as an artist is seriously impressive. Coloring is subtle and beautiful, especially on the giraffe's face. The warm colors of the background are very beautiful with all that gold, and I love the pink swirls and the stars in the very top of the sky.

So I told you on the phone that giraffes used to be my favorite animals, and this just renews my love for them. The feel of the image is so serene-so peaceful-and the soft, pink hues are pleasant to look at. You're really quite good at giraffes too, even though I've never seen you draw one before. The reticulated patterns are done perfectly, and the overall anatomy on the head is great.

I love the painting. The giraffes' facial expression looks so much like how Muttsy used to look, especially when he wasn't feeling well. I posted the image up on my lj - [link] .
It's very sweet of you to do something like this. As much as i feel very sad today, i'll have something lovely to remember Muttsy by.

The softness and pink work well together. I love the dreamy feeling and theme to it. This looks like it could be in a story book, or hung on a child's wall. I hope you offer this as a print
