Description
Another of the three wildlife portrait scratchboards I did a while ago. This was actually the first scratchboard I ever did... I ought to redo it so it fits better with the other two, but I'm too nostalgic about it... plus I am out of scratchboard at the moment. Anyway this is silver scratchboard this time, the others are gold.

That's really good. How did you get the subtle goldeny tone in the left side of the face? Or am I imagining it?

Well the series of the wildlife scratchboards is so old that I didn't have a scanner when I did them, so I had to take pictures with my digital camera. I believe that goldenish tone is from either the lights in my room or from the camera flash. The scratchboard itself is metallic silver with glossy black over it, so it picks up light at different angles, and that's part of the reason I like working with the metallic scratchboard.

Again, I am amazed. Although slightly freaked out. It reminds me a bit of the evil wolf thing from never ending story, which used to scare the life out of me, and I've never quite recovered.
