Some friend asked me to be part of their wedding. They also asked me if I could make a knife they could use as part of the ceremony. The bride to be gave me a sketch of the handle design she wanted, to her the handle was the important part. This was about five years ago, now.I was able to barrow it from her today, so that I could take some photos. She apologized for the rust; she said she had just found it under some things. Β Β
This, to date, has been the most intricately carved handle I have ever made. It took several hours with a Dremal plus a lot of hand sanding to finish this Maple handle.

Carving seems to add a lot of value to a simple blade.
