This is really, really good. And actually I like the background. So far your use of photos for backgrounds has been seamless and really interesting. Keep up the great work : )

Haha. I don't plan to put any of THAT kind of art in my gallery. But if you want to do a fan art of Kiza and draw her any way you like, I would like to see it.

For sofare i can tell , the background is a forest picture with a photoshop filter(im guessing) . I think it would realy be nicer if you just sketch it with grey pencil and add some diffrent green-tones. Or sketch with the greens right away .
But this is just an opignion

I plan to continue using modified photographs as backgrounds for Kiza pictures, but not for my other art. I hope that's an okay compromise for you. It's sort of a comic book thing I guess. If I was to illustrate a comic book, I'd get someone else to draw the backgrounds.

Reconrces , all you need is somthing to draw and lots of paper .
Im actualy working on a comic . And its going pretty well for so fare , started with a cheap green ballpen . Then i did it over in black ballpen . And now i am adding colour with coloured pencils .

Time though , can be quite a problem . I progress very slowly hehe ...
