Description After the battle..... Reading this magnificent series written by Jennifer Lynn Alvarez which is called "The Guardian Herd" And if you like horses, the warrior series, or just damn good writing in general, I highly recommend this series. There's only two books out and I don't want to spoil anything for any possible readers but this is Morningleaf and Star (Star is the main character, you'll see him on all the covers) I ship them together because them leading a herd and having foals sounds absolutely beautiful. I love these two and hope they end up together in the series for good and you'll see what I mean if you read it. Anyway, props to her for such good writing and beautiful character design. This was really fun to draw. <3

I love this!
However, I ship Morningleaf x Brackentail because I always imagined Morningleaf and Star loving each other as siblings. But I also ship Echofrost x Brackentail, which isn't even cannon, so don't mind me lol

I always ship beings I see as logical or that I can explain. For example, while I felt kind of the same way at the beginning of book one, stating they shared the same milk, I now see a love far beyond brother and sister. Brackentail bothers me, his character is great and he redeems himself, but he's always trying to get up under her wing and wants her to love him, which I don't see. I wish the focus of brackentail would be to bond with Star more rather than Morningleaf. He's the one he owes it to after all. :3 but anyhoo, thank you! I'll be doing some newer, better drawings of them all soon. If you'd like, even though I don't ship them in the slightest, I could draw them together with what I think their foal would look like.

Oh and I'm also writing a epilogue of sorts if you'd like to read that, it'll be on wattpad so you should look me up and I'll let you know when it's done. I'm going to add ships... so if it's okay, I'll add it Echofrost x Brackentail, Star x Morningleaf, and so on. It won't be a heavy focus, but it will ease my heart a little because the ending was so sudden and left my mind to wander about what happened next.Β

Also! I have a design for what I think Morningleaf and Brackentail's foal would look like even though I'm with star on seeing them together. Kinda jealous/ cringey. But he's a good stallion. BUT now that star is yknow, mortal, he can be with morningleaf technically and I get to ship them still! Hehe. But Brackentail and Echofrost I am definitely behind. I actually started shipping them after you mentioned it. Even though they had little interaction last book, I think their colors mix well and their personalities would make for a really cute couple, so I'm gonna draw their foal too :3Β

For Backentail and Echofrost's baby, maybe she could be brown with purple feathers? Silver and orange are a bit ugly together on one horse lol

I just know the mother at this point, but I asked Jennifer to see if she's even planned out who their father was. I just know that the colors of her wings and her (the mother) and fur can carry to the foals Echofrost would have

Very true, that's a beautiful sentiment and I completely agree with you on that. I feel they are the cutest friends and would be amazing as mates. They support one another and she protects him and him her and their friendship to begin with is amazing. It makes the artist in me very happy.Β

It's an amazing series, I was lucky enough to draw for Jennifer and got a copy of the third book with her signature and I am very thankful to her. She's a sweet woman and her books are the absolute best!

Hopefully! Try to stick to order though if you can stand the wait, trust me it's worth it! It's a really good series and there's a lot more suspense and curiosity if you read them in order. But sometimes they send two shipments but I hope it comes soon!

Well it seems to be lost in he post. This is the second parcel Australia Post have lost in a month. I got the first one eventually I hope they can find this one.
Starfire came from Ebay here in Australia while the others came from the UK from Book Depository.

I don't like reading them out of order either but I'm already hooked on book 2. I'm just going to have to read them out of order.

Yeah! I ship this! I am currently reading the second one, and they are amazing! This is amazing art! I love Morningleafs colors, and her flower! Love the poses, and all the expressions! Yes actually! I ship them so much but she won't tell me if they end up together! I wanted them to have a foal and if you like my art I plan on drawing a headcannon of what their foal would look like.. I do commissions too if you ever wanted a poster of them. ) but i can give you tips! send me a note and I'll give you some pointers and such
