I've seen this show before. It was great. Though some people have regretfully forgotten about it. It's a classic though.

Oh that joke. I totally remember seeing that part during the episode's initial airing. But then that scene was cut from the episode and was never seen again on TV. But I still remember laughing my ass off at it. They were actually saying "Sonovovich" which is a Russian name that sounds very close to the phrase "Son of a Bitch". I can see why it was edited. Though I wish they could release the show on DVD or Blue-ray and have all the episodes in their pure unedited state. That'd rock.

I had a dream about buying a Road Rovers DVD a couple weeks ago. Sometimes when I get dreams like that they are a foresight into something that will happen in the future so I sure hope that's the case! I've had lots of dreams like that and 5 times out of 10 they end up happening for real.Β

Really? Well, I sure hope that dream becomes a reality. Because it's been years now since Warner Bros delayed Road Rovers a domestic release. And if they're not going to continue the series in anyway shape or form, they could at least have the courtesy to give the series a domestic release which they've delayed for over a decade. I pray that that dream you had comes true. It would be every fans' dream come true. And it would also introduce a younger generation of fans to something that they missed out on.

Yeah, I am keeping my fingers crossed. Road Rovers is one of those shows people need to reflect back on and enjoy, a time when cartoons were genuine classics right from the start. None of that holds true now, they just seem to get crappier and crappier, mainly because the studios can't get away with all the things they did back in the day.Β

You're telling me. Because seriously, the majority of today's cartoons are so bland, uninspired, and uncreative. And most of them are just so boring that they put me to sleep. That's not to say there are no good cartoons today. There are some, but there's just not as many. Back then, there was more variety. But today, variety doesn't exist. And to quote what I said in my review of Road Rovers, I'm glad to have been born in and to have grown up in a time when cartoons had some balls and originality. And yes, by all means, Road Rovers is a show that is worth looking back on. And the older generation of fans who watched it back in the day could share it with their own kids today to show them what they enjoyed in their youth. I pray that one day, I'll be able to make a difference and doΒ something to resurrect the franchise. I know it's just a dream. But hey, we all have the right to dream however superficial they might be.

Yep. The 90s were the "Silver Age" for cartoons as many people called it. I wholeheartedly agree.Β

And to quote what I said in my review of Road Rovers, in the 1980s and 1990s, there were plenty of well known animated TV shows that are still remembered to this day. For me, the 80s and 90s were mystical decades for animation. Some people may disagree with me on that (my brother being a good example), but I personally believe that the 80s and 90s was a time when animation was original, innovative, and creative. Not like today.

Yep, now most all of it is computer generated, no more hand drawn. It's no longer artistic.Β

Truth is, computers have revolutionized animation greatly. Hell, the standards have increased a lot since the release of Toy Story back in 1995. But that doesn't necessarily mean that we should just completely shove hand drawn animation aside. From what I understand, America doesn't value traditional animation that much anymore. Back then, we used to broadcast animated movies in theaters before giving them a domestic release. But today, traditionally animated films are strictly direct to DVD, and are never given a theatrical release. It's like America has become so biased and closed minded towards animation. Nowadays, we only do two different styles; live action and CGI. I don't have a problem with either of those. But for Christ's sake; that's ALL we ever do! And you know what's really interesting? Japan values animation a lot more than we do! I mean yes, they've opened up to CGI, and they have their fare share of live action films. But at least they still value traditional animation as well. But here in America, we simply don't care about it that much anymore. Hence why it seems to be dying out.

LOL, nice concept, but wouldn't it have been better if Blitz was on the left instead?
