My latest deviation, and (because I’m still experimenting with the technological feel) undoubtedly one of my most difficult (though I have to say, I’m disappointed with the outcome).

Sapphire Dreaming renders the two main characters of “Cassandra Starlight” in the womb-like core of their Worldship (hence the nice blue amoeba-bubble things). “Cassandra Starlight” itself is an old and original (and incomplete) science fiction/romance prose loosely inspired by Relic’s Homeworld saga. In Homeworld, I had always found Karan Sjet too ‘hive mother’ and not enough ‘woman’, and the other characters of the game seemed more mechanical than organic (just listen to them ‘scream’ when their ships explode in magnificent balls of flame, and you’ll see what I’m talking about). But since “Cassandra Starlight” was never finished, guess there’s no point in debating the matter, yes?

Too bad for Lady Cassandra and Viscount Alexander Quirinus, anyway.

My first deviation on Canadian soil. My last before I formally enter the University of British Columbia as an Undergraduate in the Sauder School of Business (aka Faculty of Commerce).
