Description
Fully shaded sketch commission of =Astrozerk04 's character, Truu! I love drawing raptor type characters, so this was fun.
I don't know what it is that he's leaping for, but it seems important. Or he's trying to escape that crack in the earth. I'll leave it up to you guys to formulate the story! xD
I need to work on drawing clothes more. Sob.

Love that angle-pose-perspective thing you've got down in this! The depth of the background is so fantastic. The character really does look like he's trying to leap out of the picture!
I still can't get over how you shade. It's so detailed and delicate! I never know how to cel-shade clothes (I can never figure out where the folds go

The cell shadings really good. How do you go about picking you shadow hues?

I use either a gradient or solid hue that would accent the figure with the background, set the layer to a layer style such as multiply (or something of that nature), and lower the opacity that satisfies me. Then I go to town on it.

Oh man, that's nifty! I love the haziness of the background.. it really pushes the atmospheric perspective and dustyness of the environment... and of course I love Truu's dynamic pose~

I hardly -ever- draw clothes aside from armor and cloth accent pieces. So normal day to day clothing is something I need to work on.

Jezz, Skysky! Look at you pump these things out! Jeeeez at this rate you'll be done in no time! <3 This one's AWESOME too! That pose is SO lovely and dynamic! That angle of the legs looks like it was SO hard to pull off. For some reason the pose reminds me of someone playing soccer. And YES for the character popping out of the background. I've really come to like things like that! PlusIreallylikethecelshadedrocksLOLHOWDOYOUMAKEROCKSCRYYYY. And the cel-shading looks good on the clothing! It reminds me of a comic book or... something. Oh goodness, this pose was so easy to do it isn't funny. I guess I was just in the groove or something, it took like... less than 20 minutes to get it down and then refine it. >_> It was pretty crazy. Then I told myself I was crazy after staring at what I'd done.
I like that angled leg though too, it's neat.
ROCKS. Perhaps I should have taken more time on the rocks, they're horrible loose. BUT. It's a sketch, so perhaps it's more fitting. I don't know, it felt 'done'. XD But I'll be playing more with developing rocks along this route. It's terribly easy this way. >_>
