Description More about the Fae~

~~~~~~~~~
The Seraphim are a Fae-type race most populous in Leran, although they're terribly small in numbers.
The Seraphim have a human-like appearance, with a few key differences, primarily the feathery wings on their backs, which give them an angelic appearance. Their wings, however are not nearly as strong as the bird-Animagia Fae's, and although they can fly, it's like comparing a sparrow to an eagle.
The Seraphim are also strangely petite, rarely any making a full 6 feet at adulthood. They're also considered to be a "beautiful" race of Fae, but not quite so much as sirens and Amreians.
Lifespan~
Like many Fae, the Seraphim can live for a long time--generally for about 700-1000 years. After death, their souls rejoin with the lifestream, the energy of everything living.
History~
The Seraphim are endangered, and to avoid being overpowered, they form large communities on isolated planets in Leran and try to avoid the constant warring and tension between other societies. They originate from a beautiful planet called Marrei and remained rather isolated. The humans were the first to take to inter-planetary travel and were the first to find them, and although they were initially happy to welcome guests into their homeland, the humans who landed in Marrei took advantage of their kindness and took over the planet as their own. Marrei was extremely rich in Loka, a natural energy drawn straight from the earth, and supposedly, the lifestream. Although the Loka was considered sacred to the Seraphim and not to be wasted or siphoned out of the earth, the Seraphim were eventually forced to abandon their planet, and the Loka, to avoid a total extinction of their kind. Other humanoids and Fae teemed to Marrei, fighting over the Loka and destroying the once-beautiful land.
The Seraphim found two small planets to call home and began to rebuild their society on them. They are by far the most religious of all of the Fae and have very strict humanitarian values--although that meant most of them were complete pacifists and so were entirely vulnerable if they should be attacked again. Many years later, Caelan missionaries landed on their planet.
The Caelan faith (Humanoid) faced a similar extinction as a new church, the Angelican, began to take power. Remembering the previous visitors, though, the Seraphim were not as open to the visitors, knowing that having two religious groups crowded onto one planet could mean unease. The Caelan, though, were peaceful (and desperate) and saw the Seraphim's beliefs to be the Fae-equivalent of their own humanoid ones and were simply pleased to meet a peaceful society that, after some time, accepted them. The Caelan church and the Seraphim live in harmony. Cael Mages often work with the Seraphim to defend the planets from unwanted visitors.
