maybe they're not actually standing in front of each other, like its one of those cinematic-type effects how it shows the two fighters across the room for each other being shown side by side with a dramatic background.
In which case it doesn't show them fully, just their eyes in line with each other for that 'stare down' type effect.

It's not any of that. I actually thought Satan was that short at the and of Z.

recently I had it pointed out that his height is inconsistent.
In the cell games i remember that he's taller than goku (nearly as tall as cell, minus the pointy things on cell's head. And cell is a whole head taller than goku).
But then later you see him in the buu saga and stuff, and he's like the same height as vegeta.

know i saw where he was and yes he looks old know hair on the top of his really anymore

Well, Mr. Satan was drawn older at the end of Z, with the obvious receding hair, wrinkles and shorter length. But maybe I overdid it a little.

Yeah, Vegeta is a short guy and Mr. Satan pretty tall. Maybe "the champ" shrank in fear?
