Description Past and future... A young boy playing with his mobile phone in a beautiful place, though strongly connected with the past. This was taken in the area around Mae Hong Son. It's called "Thai Zwitserland" and is located at 5 km from Myanmar. Many Thai come here to enjoy the cool weather during winter. It's a habit for them to travel up north between november and january. Even though it's called winter, there are still temperatures above the 30°, for example in Chiang Mai. It's just getting a bit cooler at night because of the altitude.

Nikon D300, Tokina 12-24mm, B + W UV filter.

Gran toma.

"Thai Zwitserland" lol
Who told you that
I don't disagree but.. it's just too funny to know that Mae Hong Son was called Thai Zwit

slecocqphotography In reply to Clover4-in-hand [2009-09-25 08:28:24 +0000 UTC]

It's called Thai Zwitserland because the landscape looks like the Suiss alps. The trees are all pines, and it's just like Zwitserland. I didn't invent it by th way

All my guides told the same story

hmmm... the light and the shade part of the pic got me to think. Which color to tag the past and the present? What do you say? Quite a philosophical piece

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

slecocqphotography In reply to Mt-Ris [2009-01-19 08:18:18 +0000 UTC]

Actually i saw it as the phone as a part of the future, and the old raft as the past. But to answer your question, philosophically, i'd answer that the reflection is the future... You never know how a reflection will be, so this is surely the future A window to the world, with a uncertain future...

ReachingFlames In reply to slecocqphotography [2009-01-14 14:53:10 +0000 UTC]
