I always curious about the industrial landscapes: they are so far away from my world ...

I would love to take more, but....."they" tend to not really like it when you do.Β I'd love to take more, but I'll have to be quiet as a ninja to capture more.Β It also smells..like death and burning tires.Β

this reminds me of home, all the industrial buildings, some still in motion, others shut down. It's beautiful in a sense that makes me think of home

This is a huge oil industry area, and I love the industrial look;however, hate the toxins.Β It smells like burning tires.....blahhhhh...and I found out they don't like it when you stop, and take photos lol...I'm glad I could conjure up old memories for you.Β

To be honest, we've got nothing like this locally. Can tourists get on a tour? I like your manipulated sky. At least I hope that is manipulated...

sleepbabie In reply to ARC-Photographic [2014-01-24 07:35:51 +0000 UTC]
Yes, the colors were manipulated, but if you were to go there this is truly what you'd imagine it should look like; it smells like decay and burning rubber.Β Blahhhhh....As for a tour, they kind of ran me off...so...you might check, but I'm certain they'd only take you to "clean" spaces, or shut the door in your face.Β At night if you down certain routes then these large steel bubbles with bright lights flashing on them stand out with such beauty.Β I wish I could take pics of that with my camera, but I am getting a longer lens soon, and I hope to show you all more of Pasadena.Β Ahhhhhh....welcome to 'Merica, where we don't care about our environment.Β

Lol not really, even though I live within 10-15miles from a paper mill, and when the wind is coming from the right, I mean wrong, direction, I am reminded of that fact in a very stinky way. Gritty and beautiful photo though!

You sure you're not a little jealous?Β It smells like burnt rubber and dead animals...mmmmmmm....Pasadena.....Yeah, I really don't blame you; it reminds me of "Fight Club" and where they lived in that broken down house.Β That's Pasadena...all of Houston and Galveston to be honest. Thank you for the compliment on the photo though.Β I also found out they don't like it when you take pics of oil refineries.Β Shock.

Oh I'm insanely jealous....not! I can imagine that they get paranoid about people taking photos...people gathering lawsuit material. Β Glad you braved the authorities to take this photo, lol!

I know so lovely, and the smell is like a tainted dying garden of roses.Β It's good to be in 'Merica, especially Texas, where we don't give a shit about the environment.Β Global warming my arse.Β Prove it! Oh, you did...damn.Β

I like that the filter you used accentuates the pollution, makes my lungs hurt just looking at it, and I smoked for 10 years... Good ol' 'Merica, where the beauty of nature is only worth how much fuel can be pumped out of it...
