It's interesting how you turned what could have been a
very generic or simple interpretation of a face into
something very enticing....and charming...
...but of course I might be a little bias. I've always
enjoyed a good fragmentation of the body....haha

take care...drive safely

Oh that was quick I hope there are some things you can use! If you have some ideas I can play around with too then that woudl be helpful. Ill try to make more cabos but it has been realy hot and my clay is melting on me!

SkyeTrinity In reply to Sleetwealth [2009-07-29 00:31:02 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow! Melting clay. Well I know that my favorite is the black madona (hmm that is horribly spelled wrong). I just love small sculpted faces. Things with an irregual shape are also nice, but they could be harder to sell. Oh! I know I would love a mermaid

Sleetwealth In reply to SkyeTrinity [2009-08-02 02:08:18 +0000 UTC]

ok will think about a mermaid. I usualy put a tiny face and some abstract stuff around for border but sometimes I put a whole body on the bead. They are to plain without a face on there though so most have em.

NICE. I like it.

I don't know about the resin either---guess you'd have to play around with it. That's the nice thing about doing jewelry---it's small and uses less materials for when you just want to experiment and play.

Peace and hope you're feeling better,
the DragonLady

MeatRoots [2009-07-24 03:40:19 +0000 UTC]

That is unbelievably low-priced. To imagine how much time it took to sculpt it, and paint the intricate details on the back... just... wow.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleetwealth In reply to MeatRoots [2009-07-24 04:22:28 +0000 UTC]

Well the face took the most time the rest is abstract clay. I used colored clay so it goes right through and there is just some painting on top for antiquing. But hopefully somebody agrees with you and gets it cause mama needs some art supplies!

Deramis [2009-07-24 01:00:48 +0000 UTC]

Beautiful peice! I cannot tell from the pictures, but is there a smooth resin over it all or is the sculpting exposed?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleetwealth In reply to Deramis [2009-07-24 01:10:27 +0000 UTC]

The sculpt is exposed. It would be cool to coat one in clear resin though.

Deramis In reply to Sleetwealth [2009-07-24 01:13:05 +0000 UTC]

Cool. I'm still not sure about how well I like the resin, honestly, but it all depends on what you're covering!

Thanks I just starting making these so people could buy my sculpts affordably. But I dont have a whole lot of stuff for using on jewelry.
