i think everything that revolves around the concept of royalty is bullshit but my stupid autistic brain loves order and hierarchy so i've latched onto some of the official titles of rank.

i always thought it was cute that as cubs, tiifu and zuri would take their positions as ladies in waiting really seriously, eager to serve their queen, much to kiara's discomfort. the positions suit them well and they eventually frequently accompany kiara on official business, and rather closely at that.

as you can see, these two are pretty scarred up. these are from the war! they fought loyally alongside simba, willing to do anything to protect kiara and get back at the outlanders for ambushing their king. i won't lie, these two wanted to rock kovu's shit pretty hard after finding out about "the plan." just an example of how ride or die these two can get over kiara.

anyway, this was originally drawn to simply show my designs for them and make them unique from one another as opposed to their very similar designs in the show. i'm weighing my options for their relationship in my fanon and i Do Not want them looking related. i wanted zuri elegant, long-snouted and tall, only slightly reminiscent of her infamous grandfather; and i wanted tiifu shorter, smaller, and rounder. i thought it would fit their characters better that way!

i really have got to start doing more quick, fun, SIMPLE stuff like this more!
