Top left - Yianis Erimway - a student from Actua, he's a hoighty-toight rich boy with Aurum lineage, and uses it as leverage since his name holds some clout in high society. As the only male heir however, his father didn't send him to the Aurery as is tradition. He's quite far removed from his original Aurum blood and without the training cannot perform Aurumancy. However he boasts about the size and purity of his Aurulite stones - of which he has three. Heirlooms you know. His Academic mentor is Sky, and they're on an expedition to find a new Aurulite Vein (while also secretly checking out Pre-Tear and Pre-Contact ruins). Currently very proud of himself and his heroic nobility.

Top right - Brother Apollo - a high ranking Aurery Aurum from Aurilium - the Auracular Seat of power. Pictured behind him is actually Middas (not how I envisioned it). He's sent by the Auracular Fathers to liaison with his brother and collect the unidentified lifeform and Cella, and ensure they return to Aurilium as an Auracular matter and not something the Unity Corps can muscle in on. He doesn't actually need to do any Aurumancy, he's got a lot of influence simply by virtue of his position. He's something of a schmoozer with those of benefit, and is mainly interested in advancing his position further, thus he's a bit of a reptile, but not without an ounce of compassion and honour. Currently livid with Aeselfrith.

Bottom left - Brother Aeselfrith - an Auracular Aurum from Solaris (though he hails from Aeni like Apollo (who at one point was akin to an actual brother, but they had a falling out when one chose ambition). On probationary caution for heretical proclivities and liaison with a non-human - this is a severe charge but he paid his penance. He was sent out to retrieve the child and Cella, as well as subduing the rogue Hive Soldier with Galloglas - but it all went south and he lost both the soldier and Galloglas to a ruin collapse at the Brink, but hey he got the child and the woman - so two out of four ain't bad - though it does mean he's in for another disciplinary hearing and this time it may be unforgivable. He is in charge of a contingent of Solaris soldiers whom he brought through the Charge Trees with him. I call the three at the back Tom, Dick, and Harry - but they don't have names. Currently harbouring a very low opinion of Queenie for throwing him off a Bladeskimmer at high altitude.

Bottom right - Widget - a member of the vigilante group Oculus - whom both the Aurery and the Unity Corps view as terrorists, anarchists, and dangerous heretics (apparently you can be all of those things at once!). Widget has a particular interest in Hive Soldiers and the Queen, and believes they way they're treated is slavery - and that historically the Hive Beings actually shared a lot of knowledge and advancement with mankind. This of course is not popular with the Aurery. Widget uses stimulants since he had no actual training. But he also ingests a lot of sugar - for reasons not yet revealed, but it's also a slight side-effect of the stimulants so it's a pretty good cover. He also has history with the rogue Hive Soldier Cain, and is very interested in what happens to him and Lear, the unidentified being everyone is so crazy to get their hands on. He is known for doing things behind the back of superiors with his own agenda - this time is no different. Currently nerd-crushing over Sky
