There is a distinct difference between a mere photo of a cat and a work of art. This photo exemplifies that difference and is a stately and elegant work of art. As this cat possesses a noble and regal appearance and has become quite distinguished with age the photographer’s choice of background is flawlessly befitting. Instead of offsetting colors which would have detracted from the cat’s natural elegance and tranquil poise, the single and blending background color renders the cat as the grand and imposing element of the photo. For this, I give the photo five stars for Impact. The choice of lighting is the main artistry of this photo as it graces the cat and compliments its soft and quiet beauty. Five stars for Technique. The pose, which emphasizes the air of prominence this cat exudes, is perfection. Five stars for Vision. I do not believe it is necessary to detract from the Originality score because a photo of a cat is not original. The photographer’s vision and technique with this cat has produced an original work of art. Five stars. It is not often that a photographer visions, creates and submits an exceptional photo of a cat. This photograher has done that. For that reason I would also like to see it submitted for fine print and especially wall art.
