some more... "spring cleaning" i guess?This was drawn in late Dec for ikkicon's art show- "the three kings of yugioh"
Atem in his pharaoh outfit (I tried to draw the diadiank. fail lol)
Judai as Emperor Haou (Supreme King)
since Yusei doesn't have an "ancient ancestor thingy" his outfit is based off of the Crimson Star King and ancient mayan/incan attire...

Some people would argue that the king from YGO 5D's is Jack...Which makes sense because he's the king of riding duels...But when you think about it...
YGO = Atem/Yami = main main character
YGO GX = Judai = main main character
YGO 5D's = Jack = main character
So it kind of does make sense if you want it to be all three "main main" characters.
[By the way, "main main characters" are main characters but the focus and/or story is primarily based around them, they tend to be the first character you see]

Actually, each of the current Signers is stated to be the reincarnation of the ancient Signers , similar to Yugi-Atem and Jaden-Haou. Unfortunately, we have little to no information on the ancient Signers.
I like what you did with the concept though. I also beleive that they are the Three Kings. Yugi is King of Games, Jaden is the Supreme King, and Yusei is currently (in the Japanese) the King of Riding Duels. Each is a King, and it makes them the Three Kings - Duelists so skilled that few can defeat them. (Yugi - Rafael, Jaden - Zane, and Yusei - Kalin)

they showed the image of the ancient signer so i based yusei's crown and clothes from that...
but it would be interesting to see if they did have an ancestor... (hopefully not almost-twin like aha)

I actually have a theory on that "twin like" thing you mentioned. Hang in for a wild theory and lots of sciencey psychological stuff.
The theory is called "Tempus Gemini", or "Time Twins". It is said that everyone in the world has a double. Many people do have doubles, and some people look like famous celebrities and such.
There are currently 6.5 billion people on earth. There have been hundreds of billions more throughout the history of the human race. It is possible, though highly unlikely, that at least two people in the past shared the exact same, or nearly exactly the same, DNA. If this is true, then it explains why Yugi and Jaden look like Atem and Haou.
The memories thing is a little bit more complicated, though no less difficult to locate. Both Freud and Marx (and I think maybe Jung) believed in a collective memory and a collective unconcious, called here "the collective". If two people share the same DNA, it means that their brainwave are on the same frequency. This would allow, due the theory of "the collective", the later person to access all of their previous counterpart's memories and such.
In one of the final episodes of the English Duel Monsters series, Ishizu says that Yugi is the modern day version of the Pharaoh. Note that she says "version" and not "incarnation". This implies that they are two different people with the same appearance, similar mannerisms and the like, but not one and the same person. Also, Atem and Yugi often refer to each other as being "My other soul" early on. If they were one soul, both would often end up sealed during a shadow game. All this implies that they are NOT the same person. If this is true, then how can everything be explained?
And therein lies the reason I came up with my "Tempus Gemini" theory. It effectivly explains my standing on this problem (because I'm like Kaiba - I don't believe in magic) and gives out a reason of the above mentioned quotes.
I look forward to hearing what you think of my theory. I hope to have a nice debate/discussion on the matter.

Not conventional reincarnation. I suppose reincarnation is explicable by one person being able to access the same kind of memories as a tempus gemini. How this is possible, I have no idea.
