Description Long before Epic Mickey 2 came out I saw concept pictures for the cover of the game. Influenced by that and a DA artist drawing Camp TV Beth I made this in March 2012 and I sketched many things for it (such as a dark devastated camp wasteland background with elements of TDA and TDWT such as the trailers and plane but in a wreak, Automatonic: Courtney, Noah, Izzy, Heather, Sierra, and Alejandro, blots of my own making for this "Epic Beth" work) but never finished the lineart and coloring of the background, Animatronics TD cast, TD Epic Beth Blots, or shading and forgot about it till I accidentally came across it and decided to upload what I made. This was one in a series of pictures I sketched but never fully completed.

I tried to give this picture of the two a BG I recently tried making a dark sinister and gloomy "TD Wasteland" background and some Blots for this picture instead of the plain pure white BG. It having elements of TDI, TDA, TDWT and TDRotI with the two gals being surrounded by TD Blots (and the gals ready to take them on) and . Basically containing within: the camp, a dark forest, a cabin with cracks and holes, the unsafe mountain in far off background, the devastated dock with the water being mostly "thinner", a damaged trailer and another destroyed trailer in that thinner water sticking out, a makeshift jumbo airliner that is in pieces and battered, a fusion of the elimination sites far off that has ailments of the three first seasons in it, the items: a marshmallow, a Golden Chris, a peanuts bag, and a radio active marshmallow hidden within the picture, and it all lit by a cloudy "moonlight" and some torches sticking in the ground with low lighting from them leaving many dim/dark areas and shading and lighting to match the dark mood with the gals the most lit but still heavily shaded for the theme.
Unfortunately I found sketching the BG and scenery work to be to difficult to present the proper mood and visual I was hoping for and came off far worse then my character sketches (and they are not that great in quality or at least to my liking). Perhaps I'll hopefully give that BG and elements another go someday to further empower this picture and the dark and dangerous theme of it all.

Making just this took a LONG time and after alot of hard work and time I'm partially happy with this however there are some areas I hope to improve on in the coming future.
I have sketches and texts of many things over the years (fan stuff, OCs, bios and stories, feelings on certain matters and characters, and more) from my textbooks and scrap papers. I hope in the upcoming days I will have time now to scanned those sketches to illustrator/Paintshop or to type from textbook paper to Microsoft Word then to upload them all to my gallery here on DA (and other sites if it's to "mature" for DA) for many or a few to enjoy and hopefully inspire.

Thank you.  I find the TD style isn't that difficult to make compared to many other art styles and the pen tool in illustrator gives me great smooth lines that my shake hand can't give (I always need a smoother helper or pen tool to make any decent lineart).   However it is also timely to make in illustrator and can be confusing for first timers.

What program did you use to make this?

I'm not sure entirely as I had been testing Sai Painttool, GIMP, Photoshop and Illustrator at that time.  I think majority of the lineart was made with Illustrator with the pen tool, some lineart touch ups with Sai (such as Beth's chin area where Sai allows me to make the line then alter the "weight" at the tips to have it altered to points, and remainder was colored flat with either Sai or Photoshop as I couldn't understand or get the bucket tool to work the way I hoped in Illustrator.)

Using a mouse I found personly that make the lineart with Illustator to be tough yet produce the smoothest/cleanest and best lines oveer the other programs with the ecection of the great "weight" tool (I think that was the tool's name) for parts of the lines with Sai.  Photoshop with it's way to be able to save colors and it's eyedropper tool help in the coloring and obtaining the colors for the gals.

This was one of many Beth and the cast artworks I have sketched in my notebooks but the only one I made an attempt with to scan on the computer, make, and upload here on DA.
