I know..it's not technically spring yet and it's already summer in my country, but it doesn't hurt to draw something sweet and pretend that there are beautiful things happening out there?
I'm pretty happy with this piece
even though took a bit more time than I expected. I try to use more colors in this one instead of setting a certain tone for an entire piece like usual, also I don't draw enough morning scenery. XD Here is my recent main character Icaless the bighorn sheep trying to flirt with his crush, but unfortunately he doesn't really know how to act! XD The ewe you see here doesn't have a name yet, she is my newest design character, but I'll definitely give her a name soon and a nice little ref sheets for them both. Lastly, I hope you guys enjoy this one, stay tuned for more, I'll try my best to upload faster.

The title matches the scene wonderfully, showing the audience the colourful flowers we associate with spring. This scene also captures the emotional energy of spring as well, such as first love and the blooming of romantic emotions. The facial expressions convey these emotions very well and the slight blush helps to emphasise such emotions. The colouring is very well done, we can see all the details are very well drawn and coloured. The fur of the characters is well detailed and so is the wooden texture on the fence. The vibrant pink of the petals creates a contrast against the cooler green of the grass as well as the cool blue of the sky.

Oh, there is no written rule that an artist must wait until a certain time to draw a certain theme! Though if I had to guess, this was supposed to be a Valentine idea too? ; )
Awww, it's adorable to see his soft, shy side! Surely he is going to conquer love in no time.
Speaking of soft, the feathery brush strokes make their fur look light and fluffy which is exactly as one would imagine sheep would feel like to the touch. And the flying flower pedals are a smart addition because it gives the scene a touch of dynamism, an air of movement [movement of air? Wait that's wind] to what otherwise would be a still picture.

Are you sure you just know me recently? You simply can read my mind! Please tell me it was because the picture is obvious and not you reading my mind. XD and yes, it was a very late Valentine piece, that I decided to give it a different direction.
Icaless always have a soft side, he often let it out without knowing and it makes him a little too predictable to read in some situation, though, he is knowledgable, so I guess it balance him out?

It's just curiously suspicious that an amorous themes drawing comes a week or two after the holiday of love and kindnes, jeje.
Unlike some characters who are very serious or rough and tough in character, Icaless normally looks like a kind, friendly [and sometimes mischievous] ram. So while showing a soft side is not too surprising, it's adorable to see nonetheless.
