Description On September 28th of 2014, the Alcoa Ridge Runners took a seven mile hike on the Little Bottoms Trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This trail is located in the western end of the park near Abram's Creek Campground in the Happy Valley area of Blount County, Tennessee. In this image, the Yellow Team Leader poses for Ranger Travis at a spot where the path is almost overgrown.

Another excellent relaxed portrait photo I alway enjoy seeing photo's of fellow deviants and where they go and capture their images. The Great Smoky Mountains National park looks very very beautiful something else I have just added to my bucket list.

GSMNP is a true treasure, indeed. I hope you get to hike these hills one fine day. Perhaps I will meet up with you on the trail...

That is unreal.  I think the title should be "Lions, tigers and bears, oh my".  Don't know what is lurking in that brush.

More like, Lizards, Spiders and Bears... We saw a Fence Lizard (got photos), several spiders (no photos) and heard some bears playi9ng overhead in the trees (no photos, no see-um). At one point I thought I heard a rattler in the distance, but I never saw it. The woods are neat like that.
