Description This screenshot shows my map CTF-HMF for the game 'Unreal Tournament 2004'.

This Capture The Flag-map is a Halloween-map, even if it might not look like one.

HMF stands for "Halloween Mindf***", named after my last Christmas-map CTF-CMF. Just like CTF-CMF, this map has a very lively skybox, however, it does not rotate around its own axis with cubes moving and spinning around it. People who are easily affected by motion sickness should not play it either way. Next to the map is a huge portal causing instabilities and bugs, which is the real horror of this map. A BSP-mapper's worst nightmare are BSP-errors/BSP-holes. Nasty bugs in the architecture of the map. Here they might be of cosmetic nature and do not affect gameplay all that much, but nobody wants to play a map that really suffers from it. This map includes a reference to my first two Christmas-maps (the christmas-tree), which gets pulled into the huge portal next to it, such as a special "secret" location for those of you who think BSP-holes are not scary enough to fit the Halloween-topic.
It is a rather simple map with a more complex layout than CTF-CMF featuring three floors and cubes that assist you in getting into a higher floor by using their movement to increase jump height. While not as fast-paced as CTF-CMF, one should still be careful when playing it as the enemy can score very quickly in this map. Moreover, it requires good teamwork, if you are unable to cover your teammates or guard the flag and do things on your own, you will most likely lose the match.

The recommended playercount is 6-18.

In total, it took me about 40 hours to finish this map (testing included).

Even if you don't consider this as as just a map screenshot it has some artistic value to it.

Thanks.

That's because (no matter what everyone else might say) games are art and so are game environments/maps.
