Description

Re work 2020

Anyone who has seen pictures or actually seen the Napier Railton racing car at the Brooklands museum in the UK, can’t fail to have a slight twitch in the loins….if you are in to that sort of 1930’s goodness that is. All that polished aluminium with a Napier aero engine on four wheels is just too awesome for words.

I still have that alternative tech history vibe going on so  I thought I would give it a set of Tesla/Royce lift and thrust units with energy production delivered via  a huge V12.  The original Napier Railton hit 143mph on the Brooklands track in 1935 so my alternative should do that and perhaps some more.

I can actually see it blasting over the Bonneville salt flats at more like 300mph.

Probabley the best place to run it as there is plenty of space to stop the bugger
I have not quite come to terms with AG braking systems.

A thought just struck me; How does one stop in this car? Reverse thrust? Air brakes? Anchor (lol)?

Yes this struck me too at the time
I think that reverse field is the only way ... or perhaps just close your eyes and hope for the best

Aim for the soft squishy pedestrians! they will absorb your forward momentum

Mainly Railton (the Napier version) but yes, there is some Bentley in there as you say

Dare I dream that you have exported it as an Obj?

Hey, thanks for that.
Sorry no export as I will use it again as I have an idea or two for it but I may let it loose with some other models in the future.
