I would love to see him keep being possessed by dark spirit (or occasionally switch personality), so he become all evil looking.
Still, Ash is Ash, i like him regardless of how he looks.

yeah but i've grown up with pokemon and i'm one of those people who is slightly bugged by the fact ash is always ten but when you do the math he is actually 16. oh well its made for the younger generation but i'll keep loyal till the end

I do understand that, but the show has to keep going (also as you stated - target audience are the younger generation).
Unless they choose to switch out their main character (which most probably won't be the case), Ash doesn't have a "reason" to age... (plus all kinds of commercial considerations)
So the world view have to be the one without "time flow".
But hey, one of the beauty of fictional world is to defy physical barrier lol
Still, it is always good to hear people loving the show
p.s. if you count the launch date instead of seasons, Ash would be 27 by now, although I'm sure you know that already lol

And I really love evil ash (what a pity that it only last for half episode), too bad the voice actor is not the same as "plain" ash (Japanese version, not sure about English version).
