Hm...maybe Kazooie should be the scout because she's the fastest playable character in Banjo-Tooie. Jamjars could be the soldier for obvious reasons. Banjo could be moved to sniper, I suppose. This also leaves us with no N&B-exclusive characters. Maybe I'm overthinking this...

I was planning to do one with Tooie characters. I was thinking of Banjo as Sniper and Kazooie as his rifle.
I haven't planned the whole cast yet.

Although I know nothing about TF2, your logic for the choices still amuses me highly.

Though the outfits and class choices (plus the actual drawings and coloring) were nice, I would have preferred seeing them with their actual weapons or some sort of Banjo-Kazooie type mishap like Banjo realizing that his grenades' pins are missing when he's juggling them, or Kazooie suffering with a jammed shot (I'm not sure how that's going to look like, but I assume it's going to include a lot of hacking, coughing and attempts to lob a high speed egg through wherever they come from).
