LOTR inspired thingy that Ive been working on and off again..Kinda a sideproject from a collab from the same scene...Terragen 2 and very slight color and brightness toning as postwork

I love the foreground trees and interacting clouds. This is the most realistic landscape I've seen in like ages.

Yeah pretty much, I did small brightness and color adjustment in PS. I dont know how many hours, lets just say i worked on and off again for a while. I started this ([link] ) thread at planetside 05.5.2010 and I started working couple of days prior to posting this

Wow, even the mountains are made in Terragen too? I rarely see such naturally-eroded looking mountains come out of it or Vue, especially in regards to how the grass "starts" too. The distribution of trees and grass also looks very convincing, and I wish Vue's pine tree's looked as good as these models

It's not too bad. You can bake it as heightfield if you feel like its too heavy..I havent had such issue tho

Seems like the view from inside a Ringworld. The level of the lake is tilted toward the viewer like a rounded up horizon. Very nice effect. Intentional or not I like it!

There are mountains in the back, the front ones are so big that they cover the view..You can see them in this thread: [link] It has couple of the early renders from different povs..
