Description
We will get back to our regularly scheduled catching up, but this needs to be uploaded first
There is absolutely no legitimate reason not to choose the original artist when it comes to buying a BJD. Some people claim that they “need” this or that aspect of the doll changed (be it the price, the color, the body, etc.). But the reality is that nobody *needs* a BJD - they are luxury items and we may want them, we may want them strongly, but we don’t need them.
The artist on the other hand, who spent time, money, and love on honing their skills and sculpting them does indeed need the money we give them - for living expenses, for the betterment of their working enviroment, for materials for new sculpts. If we don’t support the artists, we soon won’t have these dolls that we *want* so much.
[Li Pong is an Oasisdoll Linglan. I chose her for the picture because among my dolls, she came from the smallest company. Sarina is her sculptor, and to my knowledge she is a one-person doll company, making resin BJD, and recently branching out into porcelain dolls.]
