I have a pattern I could put up in the future but what can really help is learning how to make a sphere. Once you understand that, you can manipulate the patterns for whatever simple round shape you want. All you need are 4 football shaped pieces that are half as wide as they are long.

Not really, actually. All I did was have a very long flat piece (I used paper as practice first as a model) and held it in place where I wanted it to curl, then I rigged it with thread "anchors" so its soft and keeps its shape. I don't like wire armatures in plush.
