I make a new Lion King OC. x3

He's not on a fancy sheet because he is being written up for an actual Lion King forum that I have fallen in love with, rather than the group that Kuba is in. Despite this, I am using the setting across two different stories, so Jiwe here and Kuba and Kivu are all part of the same universe and even live in the same general area but they probably do not meet or cross paths unless we want them to, the only real link that Jiwe has to Kuba's gang is that Alpha is his mother.

Jiwe, which means "stone", was born very early on in Alpha's life, in fact he is her first son. He was born back when the Kutii Sheria Pride was still run by rough, abusive, tyrannical males. Because they are a nomadic pride with no real territory of their own, they were constantly attacked by rogues who wanted to be in control of so many females and with so few rules about what you can do with them. So the "alpha" position was always changing but the rules never did and the males treated the females like absolute garbage- putting ridiculous amounts of responsibility on them, such as making them go out and hunt every morning and every evening even if they were nursing young cubs and things like that. When a male lion takes over another pride, part of the process involves killing all of the previous male's offspring to make room for their own. So sometimes, females would go out on the required hunts and would come back to dead cubs. When Jiwe was born, Alpha (whose name was obviously not Alpha at the time, her birth name is Lindana which means "the defender" ) was super worried about his life and safety in the nomadic and chaotic pride. So, in the dead of night, she carried him all the way into the Pridelands, leaving him on Pride Rock to be found in the morning. The territory was nice and big, there was lots of prey, and the pride was large and loyal, more of a family than a miserable group of clueless wandering behemoths. So he was raised in the Pridelands, under Scar's rule. Though he never really met Scar or did anything with him, with a lack of other adult males for him to look up to, Jiwe just looked up to Scar, becoming almost a fanboy, constantly trying to get senpai's attention. He never really did.

When Simba overthrows Scar and kills him at the end of the first movie, Jiwe is mostly furious. He has this instinctive hatred of males coming out of the woodwork to seize other Prides, and though the local law gave Simba the right of way, Jiwe hated it and hated him for dethroning his personal idol. He joins forces with Zira, who is still part of the Pridelanders at this time, but together, they plot out and develop a scheme to get back at Simba for what he has done and are both eventually exiled for this, which marks the start of the Outlanders Pride. Meanwhile, while Jiwe was growing up and ultimately becoming an absolutely massive and powerful male, Alpha at some point completely destroys and then rebuilds and revitalizes her pride, which she quickly turned into something of a cult moreso than a pride. Once in a comfortable and safe sort of place at the head of the pride, Alpha takes the nomadic group in search of a place to finally settle down, where they could have their own cubs instead of having to steal them like they did Kuba and Kivu. In her search, she kind of bumbles into the Pridelands and at first only plans on watching Jiwe from afar, just to make sure he was alive and wasn't eaten by any wayward males. But Jiwe is smart and keen, he discovers his mother and though he at first goes to eliminate her, when he does finally catch her, he recognizes her immediately. He gets the Kutii Sheria to join the Outlanders in a sort of alliance against Simba, who also banished all of the hyenas living in the Pridelands, which Jiwe took personal offense to- he had a great time with the hyenas during Scar's reign, they often baby-sat while the females went off hunting, and he thought they were fun and clever and just a hoot to be around. The Kutii Sheria was also pro-hyena. In fact almost half of the members of the Pride-turned-cult are hyenas, Alpha is mated to a female hyena, so Jiwe was able to bring the two Prides together on their love of hyenas and not just because they dislike Simba.

I'm not sure what happens next but I'll figure it out through roleplay, as I always do. If anyone would like to roleplay with Jiwe here, please feel free to send me a note where we can plot and talk about what we want to do. As of right now, Jiwe has no known friends or family (I like to think that he had a younger brother whom his mother thought was stillborn, so she left him, but who knows maybe he lives), so if anyone wants to change that, feel free to hit me up here in a note, or feel free to join me and some of my friends on this very cool Lion King AU roleplay forum: helivesinyou.freeforums.net/ I plan to play Jiwe there obviously. I've also talked to the admin, Tennie, who is literally the most amazing person, I love her so much, and she and I discussed the possibility of me bringing Alpha into the game as well, even though her design is a little... atypical. So I might explore this story further, maybe let Kuba and Kivu have some small cameos or something, idk.
