Death is moot when he has a sister that's able to bring him back form it. The custom night cutscene in Sister location show us that the one reviving Michael is the sister.

great theory, but I stopped paying attention as soon as it said FNaF 4 took place in 1987. I think it takes place in 1983, personally, and the crying child DOES die.

Then you have your own alternative universe instead of the canon one, and that's fine, but it'll conflict with the new games. I have a pretty good idea about where the story is going, so I'll give you a heads up: the next game teased on the FNAF world website will take place between the 90's and FNAF 3. Just ask yourself, why didn't Springtrap take action before? He wasn't sealed in the room because the sealing took place while phone guy was alive, and he died in FNAF 1.
