Description This Brimstone (Gonepteryx rhamni) is a real beauty.

I made the picture on a sunny afternoon in a nearby forest after chasing this insect for about 15 minutes.

In the meanwhile people were wondering why I was running around from A to Z and back, not noticing this marvellous creature!

Oh my gosh, I've never even heard of these!
I thought it was a katydid at first! What an amazing butterfly! And a great shot to boot.

Ik had hem vroeger al eens getoond zonder kader, maar ik vond het tijd om hem nog eens in een nieuwe versie te publiceren.

Citroenvlinders zijn typisch voor bosranden en heide. Ik zie ze elke keer ik op stap ga in ÊÊn van de Vlaamse bossen. En jawel, deze foto werd gemaakt in Oost-Vlaanderen.

Indeed, even people trying to be in the picture (or even avoiding to be on it) when shooting lanscapes or sceneries in town.

I get some very wierd looks from people when I go charging about after butterflies.In my case i reckon it maybe because you don't usually see 19 stone,crew cutted and big booted individuals chasing butterflies and getting excited over them
