Description The Callaway Fork Bridge on Old Highway D just west of New Melle Missouri in St. Charles county. This Pin-connected, 8-panel Pratt through truss bridge was constructed in 1909 by the Decatur Bridge Co. Made obsolete by new bridge in 1968 when they re-routed the highway.

Great shot and angle...we are so good at throwing away our history...looks like nature is creeping slowly over and around this old bridge...fine work...

Gotta love cool old bridges like this Of course if it's barricaded you *must* jump the barricade and walk out on it
