Description Alright...so I really wasn't sure about this. Because, as most of you know, my comp is messed up and the screen is a lot darker than most other computers, at it can't get any brighter. So, for each of my pictures I make it a lot darker so other will hopefully see it how I do. Now, I have no idea how this looks to other people, so I'm kind of entering this being blind to the result. And if you have a comp like mine, it's gonna look pretty dark, so you may want to open it in photoshop or something to lighten it if you really want to make the effort. But anyways, the title is of course the title of one of my favorite Elton John songs. Thought the picture itself makes me think of lyrics to a different Elton Song, Someone Saved My Life Tonight.

Someone saved my life tonight, sugar bear
You almost had your hooks in me, didn't you dear
You nearly had me roped and tied
Alter-bound, hypnotized
Sweet freedom whispered in my ear
You're a butterfly
And butterflies are free to fly
Fly away
High away
Bye-bye

So, I got the stock pics from two different deviants
Ballerina-
Room-

And the brushes are from the wonderful

So I thought it needed something...so I think to myself: BRUSHES! And I go and find some, and apply them and TADA!
Comments always appreciated...hint hint...

I really like the colors and the dark feel to it. I don't know if that's how you see it or not, but it looks really good on my computer! But once again I say, the colors make the picture in this case. Good job!

Brilliant, and I'm sure your monitor troubles can be readily fixed, if you just knew how to calibrate it correctly? I'm pretty sure you do, and from judging how well you calbrated the appropriate light/dark contrast on this picture to match my perfectly calibrated monitor I would say that, yes you must know how to properly configure you monitor, and wow it sucks! ZBut this is definitely and amazing piece, fantasticly composed from the originals, great job my friend

I know someone who is a tiny dancer.

This is beautiful. As though she opened up out of a flower in Alice's Wonderland, and then shrank after eating a muffin. Her apprehension seems to encompass the whole room, even though she is alas, a tiny dancer.

I am favouritising this.

I love this picture. It reminds me so much of this movie I once saw. It was some kind of horrror movie made by Dario Argento, about this girl who goes to a ballet acadamy and studies ballet, but her acadamy is holding this dark secret. The place is actually a gathering place for witches. The movie is so fooked up. I thought it was pretty scary. The ballet in your picture reminds me of one of the death sences in the movie O_O

*runs and grabs a bag of chips from your house*

Oh I found out. The movie is Called Suspiria. It's not the type of horror movie for everyone- but the images will stick in your head forever, whether you like it or not. It's a film created in 1976 (WHOO! RETRO!!) Or so, (around that date). Dario Argento's film Suspiria has barley little plot, so it's complete INSANITY. It’s a horror movie unlike no other, because most horror movies focus on darkness. But everything in this horror movie is full-blown cascade of eerie rainbow hues. (Imaging something like a Walt Disney horror movie with a pornographer's sensibility*shutters*) I like the blood... it's so surreal...like paint, an in your face day glow (which adds to the creepy "Fairytale" like quality)

The movie is an Italian horror, I think it had subtitles and voice dubbing (don't know what version I had) but the dubbing voices are...odd... because they don't match the movements of the mouths. I rented it at my place, but it's a hard movie to find. I always like renting movies before buying them. Or go to Yahoo Video Search and Type in Suspiria (but keep it safe search off) Hope this helps. There is this website I found, you can learn more about "Suspiria" [link] and go to biography or filmography.

I truly adore this! It brings to mind the lyrics: Mary Lou left her marks on you; she just screams at the walls. Mainly because...not only is she dancing, creating beauty -- but you sense contempt and a feeling of frustration and melancholy. Good work
