Description     Seren excitedly bounded back to what they considered home, clutching a ticket in their hands with a smile before entering the house.

"Hey Del, you in here?" they asked as they slung their scarf onto the couch.

"Yeah, I'm in my room!" Del called out, "I'll be out there in a sec"

"Alright, I'll be here then." Seren called back before settling on the couch. They had all of a few seconds to relax before something crashed into their face. The quill scrambled to get the wibble off their face, minding the sticky wings of the creature as to not pull their feathers out in the process. "Hello to you too Marimo." Seren said with a small grin. A faint giggling filled their ears as they held the quill out before he climbed onto their shoulders.

"He seems happy to see you" Del joked as she went to sit next to Seren.

"Is he always gonna greet me like this?"

"You're his favorite so probably not, but come on, would you really want him to stop?"

"Eh, I suppose not. Sides, little bugger's kinda grown on me, who knows, I might just steal him from you one day"

    "You wouldn't!"

"Or would I?" that earned a playful shove from Del and Seren merely laughed. "okay okay, No I wouldn't steal him."

"good, now, was there something you needed me for?"

At that Seren straightened with a large beam on their face. "Nah, no favors or anything like that. I was in town today and saw Mrs. Netty will be holding another magic class soon"

    "and?"

"Well," the quill dragged out before making a show of waving the copper colored ticket in the air directly in front of the younger quad, "I took a class just two weeks ago with her, but I had some spare coins; and since class is a good way to get out of the house and make new friends I figured I'd buy a ticket for you so you can join this one. It'd be a good way to meet new wyngrew out there." they finished before holding said ticket near Del's face.

"wait- Seriously?" She gasped out with wide eyes and slightly flared wings. Seren smirked and nodded at her.

"Yup, You get to learn a bit of magic, and since you have someone teaching you it'll be safer and easier than learning it by yourself, and get this, you might make some friends while you're at it"

Safe to say Seren was not prepared as they were suddenly hugged by the quad, "Awe, thank you thank you thank you!" Del squealed whilst squishing Seren.

"Don't mention it," Seren said slightly strained from being in the hug. Del pulled back and was about to grab the ticket from Seren only to be interrupted by the third occupant of the house.

"What's with the squealing down here?" Koda asked with a little amused smile.

"Seren got me a ticket so I can join Mrs. Netty's next magic class!" at that, Koda's smile dropped.

    "wait, what?"

"I know! Its great isn't it!" Del said, sharing a similar large beaming smile that Seren sported

"Uh, no." and those two words immediately caused Del's face to morph from one of joy to confusion and concern.

    "No?"

"Magic is dangerous Del, You're not ready to learn it."

    "Wha- but, Dad!"

"No buts Del, You aren't going to take that class, and that's final" Koda crossed his arms while Del glared at him.

"That's not fair, how come you get to mess with magic by yourself while I can't even learn it in a group!?" She yelled

"Because I'm an adult" Koda spat back, wings lightly flaring.

"But I'm adult now too! my spot's gone and look, even my wings are growing in." Del flexed said wings as if to emphasize the point.

"That doesn't mean you're grown up."

"wh- bu- ARGH" Del sputtered as she tried to convey the ridiculousness of Koda's claim. The blue wyngro turned tail with brows furrowed.

"You're not going to that class, you are staying here where I know where you are, okay?"

"You're not being fair!" at this point Seren had stood up and looked awkwardly between the two, Marimo mimicking them.

    "Okay?!"

At this, Del huffed and stared at the ground, "Okay" she sighed out. Seren's heart practically broke at the disappointment that flooded Del's face. No they shan't  stand by this.

"Uh, Koda, not to tell you how to parent, but for one Magic class is perfectly safe, and two, Del might not be fully grown yet but she's growing up, you gotta let her go and let her do her own things, even something small like this." the quill made to turn fully towards Koda. "And she has a point, you're always out practicing magic by yourself, why not let her learn a little bit of magic with a group, worse comes to worse, if she isn't ready for it then she'll learn it for herself, and if she is, she gets to learn some way to help protect herself when you're not there."

Del looked up at Seren, mouth slightly agape, before she mouthed a small 'thank you'. Koda stopped and stayed quiet for a moment before looking up with a sigh.

"Fine, you can go attend magic class." he said turning around to face the two who pumped their fists in victory

    "Yes!" the two cheered.

    "On one condition"

    "No." they both cried out.

"Seren goes with you to each class."

"what!? like a baby sitter? Dad! I don't need a baby sitter-"

"Ah, its either that, or no magic class."

Del let out yet another sigh, "Fine, I promise I won't go to magic class without them." she said in a resigned tone.

"Good, I'll be outside if you need me."

"Okay." Del plopped back onto the couch as koda walked through the door before closing it.

"Ugh, I swear, I'm gonna have grey hairs before he lets me go out by myself."

"Your dad just cares for you and wants you to be safe." Seren attempted sitting back down while Marimo jumped off and laid on top of Del to offer a small bit of comfort.

"I know, but a baby sitter? Really, he treats me as if I was five, I swear."

"If it helps any, I'll try not to get in the way, you won't even know I'm there." Seren went and put the ticket into Del's paws, "promise."

"thanks. I appreciate it." Del smiled.

Seren happily returned it. "No problem."
