Social interaction should drain an introvert thats the basic neurology of it. An extrovert has low cortical activity and needs external stimulation so they constantly love going out, partying and socialising it's literally their energiser which is good for them. An introvert has high activity so too much stimulation (e.g. social interaction beyond 2 people is usually too much) and they tire out, so when we (yes I consider myself and introvert and proud! go out to party we need to recharge and read a book or spend the day in afterwards, as rest. Apparently it's determined genetically at a young age with little flexibility (note this is still a theory - reactivity that is, not the introversion, extroversion stuff that's pretty solid) with high reactive babies having a greater chance at becomming introverts later in life (high reactive means that they are responsive, they are loud and they are moving around a lot at a young age - this is because of their high cortical activity) however a low reactive baby (and thus extrovert later on - note this is how LIKELY it will be not 100% determinant) will be more quiet and docile due to their low cortical activity. Of course this cortical activity does NOT mean that extroverts are stupid, we're wired a little differently that's all - ahem despite the seemingly greater probability for introverts to continue to tertiary education and solid careers and if not we're focussed, art - is an introverted activity it's just you and you are focussed on that task in a state of mind a psychologist whose name i forgot called "flow" which is when you are doing something just for the sake of doing it, it's not for a goal or reward you do it because you want to ^^. Though introversion does seem to confer a lot of positives in academics. And would seem to improve alot of industries and areas if the entire field wasn't built around extroversion ideals which developed quite recently. E.g. Stock markets, Law, politics, Advertising has been shown to be more successful if they don't let the loud and rowdy employees overlook the quiet introverts. (Politics definitely needs to change somehow but I don't see an introvert wanting to prance in front of a camera and give speeches every day) a book called "Quiet - Susan Cain" is quite interesting on this topic

Haha just realised what a rant this is >.< I just find neuroscience really interesting (what I'm currently studying) and in case someone else shares my passion or maybe you just wanted to read something interesting...to me anyhow. But it's crazy how relatable all your art is, i think that's why i like it so much.

That's just sad
I am familliar with the feeling though, and it is true that social interaction can drain (probably far most) people a lot, it takes lots of energy to socialize
I was at that point this comic explains at some point, but thanks to new friends I got on boarding school and later on in highschoolΒ I'm getting much more out now, thank goodness!! . I can definitely recommend crawling out of that cave, it's not healthy justΒ sitting inside in our own world when there's so much inspiration and creativity to find in the real one. I think that's a bad habit our generation has obtained~ (Mainly thanks to the internet~) There are so many interesting people out there, but they are too shy to get out, it's a shame D:
But after having been out then I also prefer to stay home and chill the next day, spending my time with whatever the heck I want; it's like coming home from a holiday trip, you need to relax, social activity drains everyone
I'm happy to hear that you're at least being polite towards the people you're not really fond of, I as well just pretend to enjoy the conversation and then I'll try to come up with a good excuse to leave
Nice comic though, it explains its point very well and many people can relate to it... Dig your style ^_^

I just revived my deviantart account of 7 years bc of you
I don't know how to navigate through this website much, such as adding favorite artists ...or subscribe?
Anyway, I just wanna say your artworks (esp. Snails comic) are so creative. I like reading them and they make me laugh (literally L-O-L).
I haven't read all of them, but I come across something about your hand not being well (I hope you will recover 100% soon, and if you have recovered, then that's great).
As for jobs, I believe that life is how we create it to be. So enjoy the journey, you never know, one day you might even be working for something you truly love. But commitment makes a difference. Eventually it will pay off, and you know, the longer the wait, the better it is once you finally get a hold of it.
side note: my birthday is 9/19, I thought it was cool, seeing that yours is 1 day later.
Boy, I don't know why I typed all of this. Anyway, thanks for drawing

Aww, woo hoo! ^^ The things I'd do to have your L-O-Ls.Β
Thank you, no, it's still in the recovery process.Β
Thank you, hopefully, it will eventually pays off before I'm dead. Hahah.Β
