this one I did for Digger T Mesch. a dear friend of mine. He was one of the masterminds behind ArtAsylum for those in the know.
He's directing films now. very creative brutha.

So the title and subject matter inspired me to rip off an image from the CLint Eastwood, Sergil Leone spaghetti western, Fistfull of Dollars. some say homage, I say I ripped it off.

I tried limited rendering and really texture heavy brushes in PS. the only thing I spent time on was the face, which is referenced from a series of photos done on a model. although
I think it only slightly resembles the reference, I like the way it came out.

I did it in a few hours one night. it was a great exercise on how not to be anal with details. but ofcourse, the rendering style was obviously inspired by the original piece.
