Dry pastel on gray paper
This is another piece I composed slightly awkwardly. I set the swans back a bit in the grass in an effort to make them look more separated from the swamp - like their own secret place in time.

The grass took almost as long as the swan. Originally I wanted the background to be the focus since I thought it would be an interesting composition, otherwise it would be more subtle.
I struggled with this piece and almost quit quite a few times - I felt like I kept losing what I was trying to convey.I am happy with the end result though. It is one of my most popular pieces and I am happy that people like it.

I like that you use different colors of paper. This piece feels like it is shining from within. Again, solid work 
Personally, I would have drawn more feathers and cut off the right side where the grass is. That side is a little bit distracting IMHO.
