I'm in a photography class at university and one of the projects I had to do was transform someone else's photo into a piece of my own art. The project was generally referring to using things like collages and filters to transform public domain photos and sell/present them as your own works, but I decided to go a more adventurous route and add pieces of digital art to three public domain landscape photos. It is the same general concept as the other options, but fit my style better. Also note that I have no intentions of selling these, they were created just for the assignment and my own entertainment.
The photo I used for this piece was "Blackwater Falls" by JB Stran: www.publicdomainpictures.net/e…
I saw this photo and immediately pictured a dragon looming over the falls. Tell me if you like this style, and if you have any of your own photos that you would like to see something like this done to, PM me with the photo and some ideas for a drawing and I may or may not draw it. But it depends on whether or not the photo catches my attention and if I have the time, I will not make any solid promises for this project.
