Description Real Name: Circe
Sex: Female
Occupation: Sorceress

Origin:

Circe is the daughter of the Titan Hyperion and The Siren Perseis. Circe is a powerful Sorceress and former princess of Colchis. A beautiful, violet-eyed, red-haired sorceress, she is known for turning people into animals (which are called Bestiamorphs), as well as for powers of mind-control and magic. She was wedded to the heir to one of the wealthiest kingdoms in the Caucasus, but he was a brute, a worthless drunk, and selfish, so she saw him as an animal, and finally killed him by cutting off his head. She was chased by the prince's family and army but eventually she grew tired and decided to kill them all with her godlike magic, Circe fled Colchis, and after sailing alone for days and nights, surviving hunger and thirst, she landed on an Island where she met the goddess Hecate, who revealed that she had come to her answering her prayers full of spite. It is said in legend that Circe is the most beautiful woman who has ever lived. She, powered by immeasurable magic, influenced the world of men from afar.

The terror of her name and power quickly spread throughout the ancient world. Circe, driven by Hecate's hatred, fanned the flames of sexual alienation: men and women had always distrusted one another to an extent, she merely fanned such flames, sewing suspicion and betrayal wherever she went. When the Amazons were born, Circe was wary, but Ares assured her that they were his to destroy. The ancient Amazons were brought down by Hercules, and Antiope led half the Amazons against Athens--but the city was not destroyed, as Theseus and Antiope reached a peace--and then were married. Circe found Ariadne, the former wife of Theseus, and used her powers to let the angered queen slip into Antiope's bedroom and murder her as they slept. This would prove one of the key events in the history of the Amazons of Bana-Mighdall, Pythia and her Amazons blamed the murder on Theseus, while Theseus blamed them for the death of Antiope. This is precisely what Circe wanted. Circe remained on Aeaea for three thousand years. Circe was distressed to find that some Amazons were still alive. Diana's message of peace reached even the inhabitants of Aeaea, and after some time they began to resent and hate the witch on the island. she decided she would travel the world where she gathered new followers, one of which is a powerful man who would do anything for her, his name is Vandal Savage and he created The Legion of Doom for her and would help her in her war on the Amazons.

Circe's most ambitious gambit was inciting war between the various pantheons of gods throughout the Multiverse, becoming known as the War of The Gods. Circe's overall ploy was to gain the power of all the warring pantheons after they had defeated or destroyed one another. Another plot of the war was to disgrace Diana and the Amazons in the eyes of the world by portraying them as terrorists, allying herself with the Amazons of Bana-Mighdall to this effect. True to her nature, Circe eventually betrayed them as well. Over the course of the war, Circe succeeded in killing Hermes, With his helmet falling through the multiverse to Earth 2, She had Vandal Savage murder Dionysus by cutting off his head and she also killed Artemis goddess of the hunt. Wonder Woman eventually stopped her and imprisoned her and Vandal Savage in the Underworld but they wouldn't last there very long for they are both Immortal and dont belong in the realm of the dead. Striking a deal with Hades she would vow revenge on Wonder Woman.

Powers & Abilities:
Circe is an high level witch, her sorcery allows her to manipulate reality through incantations and spells. As a goddess level sorceress she is granted with ageless immortality. Her most known and main feat was to turn objects and people alike into various sorts of animals. With her ability to seduce others with her natural charms and beauty, Circe is an excellent master manipulator. During her time in the Underworld, she gained the limited ability to manipulate the dead to do her bidding. When she received Wonder Woman's powers, she wielded the lasso of truth added by athame she carried. Her strength and durability greatly increased due to the power boost she obtained, though this was only temporary as Wonder Woman received them back. Her most known and main feat was to turn objects and people alike into various sorts of animals. She prefers to transform men into various animals. Some of her victims have become pigs, monkeys, large cats, boars and even birds and have retained their ability to think and sometimes even speak. In these forms, they are subjective to Circe and often in a tranquilized state unable to retaliate. With another gesture, Circe can restore her victims to normal.

Her sorcery allows her to manipulate reality through incantations and spells. She can alter minds and control them utterly. She's shown the ability to project her voice over long distances with extreme pressure. Circe also seems to have limited clairvoyant potential, mostly to be able to detect guests to her island and the presence of other immortals in her company. She was able to detect Hermes in an invisible state when he visited her. Capable of creating illusions. She's also capable of making people see someone who isn't even that person. She made it seem to Superman that she was Wonder Woman. Capable of tapping even cosmic energies, she could teleport between dimensions such as from Earth to Olympus. Circe is both ancient and powerful in many fields of magic, she is therefore extremely knowledgeable on the topic of the occult. She can create potions to transform individuals or to grant power comparable to that of the Greek gods. An herb called Moly disrupts Circe's magic.
