-Only child of Alastair and Sora Starwind
-Lived in poverty during his youth
-Though, loved helping his parents work on their farm
-Very stern personality
-Allowed his once strong relationship with his parents to wither away
-And feels horrible for it, especially after his father passed away before things could be fixed
-Never had a relationship with his only daughter
-Secretly wants one
-Is the dominate figure in his household, work and most relationships
-Is only the submissive figure around his parents and his wife’s parents
-Hates politics with a passion
-Hates the Shadow even more
-Hates the Shadow mostly because they are responsible for the hardships at his workplace, as well responsible for his daughter leaving to go to war
-He refused to let his oldest son leave for the Resistance, and wishes he could’ve protested against Alana’s leaving
-Hates hospitals and doctors, almost more than Alana does
-Will have to be dying or unconscious in order for anyone to get him to a hospital
-Sexist; believes in gender-specific roles
-Slightly controlling over what happens in his home
-Since she left for war, Xailin has been going to the local temple to secretly pray for his daughter’s safe return
-Fears Alana will die, thus never being able to form any kind of relationship with her
-Purposely let Alana believe he didn’t want her, though it caused him much heartache
-Regrets letting go of her, but had believed it was for the best at the time
-Never talks about his feelings to anyone, not even his wife
-Though, she is the only one that he’ll show any weakness to
-No one knows how he got that scar on his face; had it since he was 17
-Alastair believes he got into a fight with one of his current wife’s older brothers, having detest people with money and power in his youth
-Still highly detest people with money and power, but has let it subside, seeing the family he had married in to
-Lived in debt for five years after Alana was born, due to things that happened at the hospital; thus his hatred toward doctors and hospitals
-Works in a small business owned by himself and one of his childhood friends
-Loves his family, but, some would say he has a funny way of showing it
-Not racist, but will not like the fact that Alana’s seeing an elf(when he finds out)

-Has three older siblings; two elder brothers and an older sister
-Grew up with everything a young girl could ever ask for
-Though it never went to her head
-Kind, polite, gentle personality
-Is highly submissive in any relationship
-Which helped in Xailin’s faint need to control things
-Doesn’t work
-Not because her husband told her not to; she preferred to be a house-wife and be home where her children needed her
-Fell into a mild depression when the doctors decided to keep Alana in the hospital for what seemed like forever
-The only time she ever argued against her husband was to protest his decision to give their daughter away
-Though, she eventually allowed him to do it, despite the pain it caused her
-Was relieved to know that Xailin’s parents were going to take Alana, instead of some stranger
-Doesn’t like the word ‘hate’; prefers ‘strongly dislike’
-Doesn’t like cussing in general, but tolerates it better than the ‘h’ word
-Would give her life for her children faster than a heartbeat
-Would probably die from remorse and depression if anything happened to any of them
-Worries for her eldest brother, who had left home; no one had heard from him since
-Xailin believes he may have been killed, but dares not tell her that
-Religious, but not a zealot
-Prays every night for Alana’s safe return
-Enjoys listening to the elderly tell stories of their youth
-Always enjoyed listening to Alastair’s stories when she went to visit Xailin at his parents’ home
-Yearns for a chance to hold her daughter
-Also fears that Alana will be killed during the war
-Becomes insecure when she sees other women looking at her husband
-Trusts her husband completely... it's the other women she doesn't trust
-Fears Xailin will leave her for one of these women, leaving her with nothing
-Her best friend is her older sister

-Have three children; Justin, Eli, and Alana.
