No, no, no. Jar Jar may have been AS clumsy, but Jar Jar was a lot smarter.

And then Star Wars: The Phantom Menace was universally loathed for having a sidekick that was supposedly a stereotype of the mentally handicapped.

It depends on your sense of humor. I found Jar Jar hilairious. The only funny thing I find funny about Goofy is that predictable yell he makes

Okay, this is awesome. A lot of us secretly want a Kingdom Hearts/Star Wars crossover. Think about it...they're like the yin to each other's yang, yet initially they offered the same thing: dark but innocent, best of both worlds, not too much plot until some sequels/prequels came along and tried to explain everything, and even though still cool (and enhanced combat/special effects) kinda ruined the moment the first game/movie or set of movies gave. To me the 1st KH game was dark and innocent and gave my heart a breath of fresh air...The sequel did the graphics better but the story kind of gave off the flipside of what the 1st offered...it was no longer dark and innocent but felt a little goofy and morbid. Still classic, though, but that was the emotional effect on me.

If you take into account KH mythos, Donald and Goofy are actually quite powerful, wise and experienced-if prone to temper tantrums and clumsiness respectively. Goofy could be quite the dignified sage, he had almost paladin/dervish like powers (or at least skills), and in the DS games could even cast some low level spells.
PS do you think goofy should get a weapon to accompany his shield? A spear or throwing javelins? A pistol or blaster? Could he be like a shield wearing grenade thrower?
I was thinking that if Goofy had some low level spells (or could use alternatives to his magic meter to use spells, like if they explained no mana meter in the DS games by them using like scrolls, since the spells seemed to be limited like ammunition and not mana meter) maybe his initial spells might be low level and weak, but since he's like a protection paladin, all of his attacks have a chance to do stun damage. Or he could get range like a paragon, which in guild wars was like a medium ranged pally, would throw spears. Hybrid Paladin, Paragon, Dervish, perhaps some Hunter (if Goofy could get bonuses to having a summoned pet that's less like an entity and more like a realistic side kick or beast pet from hunters....Ya know, like maybe he can't have epic summons like donald, but he could have weaker summons like chicken little almost consistently, somewhere between a Hunter's Pet and side kick like daxter or clank.)
I like his fighting style, like a goofy captain America, but I think in the next game he should be able to wear the cool looking knight armor that you saw him wear in the cut scenes. Kind of like a mixture of plate and leather (so it's over all medium armor) that would increase protection but also leave some room left over for SOME speed and agility, and his cool armor had blades on various parts...that could enhance a fighting style that includes a lot of body slams, tackles, blocks and counter attacks. then his main hand would be mostly empty so he could pull out maybe a thrown weapon or ranged weapon for opportunistic moments (and also be good at throwing healing potions).

Donald is a Mage, I get it, but he also seems to have some melee for back up in sledge hammer staves. Also, since he's shown to use his fists, maybe that would be a 2nd wind berzerker back up. Like he's primarily an arcane mage, but later takes on traits of Elemental shaman and lesser monk. Perhaps some priest and summoner.

I guess Sora would be LIKE an enhancement shaman with dashes of arms warrior, combat rouge and summoner.
I'm not trying to push a KH/WOW crossover, this is analysis for possible good ideas to borrow. I wonder if anybody else has them.

I know this is overly nerdy, but on a serious note, somebody could go with this inspiration and do something with it. I would love somebody's feedback on these ideas and how well they could work in a KH game.

And that simpson's reference was awesome.

He'd be scratching his head about where the other characters came from, looking up historical texts and such. Also, the KH trio fighting Nazis, Soviets, and human sacrificing cultists might be a bit much for some. He'd make a good character if he was allowed to use a wide foray of weapons, including a machete and multiple guns, as long as he focused on his pistol and whip.

I would todally love seeing Goofy fight some Battle Droids, but lets be honest, it would be like what Jar-Jar does, only MUCH more 'collateral' damage involved. LoL

I'm somewhat ok with disney owning Lucasfilms. As long as they don't retcon the EU or the Star Wars: The Clone Wars tv show on Cartoon Network then I'm somewhat ok with it. I never hated Jar Jar to be honest(IMO what I didn't liked was his dialoge). I actually like him more on the Robot Chicken Star Wars specials.

Star Wars Episode 7 on the other hand...not so much. I really don't want it to become like Pirates of the Caribbean in which they make sequel after sequel.

Although It might be funny if Tim Burton decides to direct it and make it into another Batman returns(Gloomy, dark, weird, depressive and with Johnny Depp and Michael Keaton for no rime or reason). It becomes a disappointment.

Then people get hissy and ask Joel Schumacher to make it more mainstream with Ice puns and Bat nipples.

People hate it and then they ask Chris Nolan to make the final film and he makes it super realistic, dark humorless, super serious and convoluted with the Christian Bale Bat-voice and the Bane mask.

People get confused due to it's convoluted narrative and then Adam West along with Pinkie Pie decides to make episode 10 in the style of the first live action Street Fighter/1960's Batman/Super Mario Bros. movies Campy, cheesy, goofy with M.Bison, Bowser and Jean Claude Van Dame to air exclusively on The Hub. Ok now for some reason I'm now excited. I wanna see Han Solo, Jar Jar and Indiana Jones fight the Joker's goons with sound effects while the 60's Batman theme plays.
