I call it Pittencrief Park for the wider audience and The Glen for the locals, then they know what you are on about

I am lucky, I live within 45 minutes walking distance of it and frequent the place quite often.

I live towards Kincardine way, in Cairneyhill, about 4 miles outside Dundermline.

Go on, be a devil, have a good round the pictures, they are all free

Ooh, I live closer to Dunfermline than that.
But I'm awful with miles, so I could be wrong. XD
Half hour bus journey.

With the bus service around Dunfermline you must live close to town then

Haha, true.
It might be closer to 45 minutes actually..

Plenty of time yet, don't rush it, in fact not much fun driving 4 wheels these days, hence the reason I have two.

Known locally as 'The Glen' with various different entrances with the main ones being by the Abbey and the bottom end of town by the Glen Gates.

You're welcome

I love how you know everything about the places you photograph
Will have to take a visit here soon.

SnapperRod In reply to Rukkukie [2010-01-04 15:45:47 +0000 UTC]

Cheers Meeka , but I don't know everything , what I don't know I lookup.

But truthfully I think adding suitable comments to a picture does add another dimension that can enhance the viewing enjoyment.

Come on down and have a stroll and enjoy the peace, quiet, tranquillity, what more could you ask for.

It's still a nice touch, to be able to learn about the place you're looking at

Mmm, not much, to be honest!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnapperRod In reply to Rukkukie [2010-01-04 16:40:59 +0000 UTC]

Tis at that, but not enough people do it. I find nothing worse that seeing a good image on dA and when you look - no artists comment at all

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rukkukie In reply to SnapperRod [2010-01-04 16:58:06 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, "..." is not an artists comment.
Even if it just states what's been used in the creation of the image, it's better than "..."

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnapperRod In reply to Rukkukie [2010-01-04 17:15:16 +0000 UTC]

Spot on, unless "..." is brail or some sort of code that we are not aware of

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rukkukie In reply to SnapperRod [2010-01-04 17:18:42 +0000 UTC]

As far as I'm aware, the only thing that could mean in brail is AC or something

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnapperRod In reply to Rukkukie [2010-01-04 19:18:38 +0000 UTC]

The only book I have on brail is a copy of Playboy, and I am not joking. Picked it up many many moons ago. They use to be official publications in the USA but not sure if they still do them. No pictures, just lots of brail lumps and bumps all over the place. Great for breaking the ice at a party.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rukkukie In reply to SnapperRod [2010-01-04 20:03:39 +0000 UTC]

Ahaa, that's really weird xD
How exactly does Playboy work in brail?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnapperRod In reply to Rukkukie [2010-01-04 20:16:52 +0000 UTC]

I assume it works the same way as any other brail book, tells a story for the blind, without pictures. Be interesting to read the stories and see what they actually contain. Mind you, when I got this copy, Playboy, the normal edition, was quite an up-market publication so to speak

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rukkukie In reply to SnapperRod [2010-01-04 20:19:20 +0000 UTC]

Aha, it certainly would.
It'd be quite a job translating it, but you could probably find a brail alphabet online?
Haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnapperRod In reply to Rukkukie [2010-01-04 20:28:51 +0000 UTC]

Silly question: How would you read a brail alphabet online?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rukkukie In reply to SnapperRod [2010-01-04 20:32:38 +0000 UTC]

It just appears like dots, haha.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnapperRod In reply to Rukkukie [2010-01-04 20:43:21 +0000 UTC]

I know it would appear like dots, but how would you read it?
You can't use your fingers on the screen
