Based on a combination of E.H. Shepard illustrations from the Winnie the Pooh books.This is a commission from the wonderful AprilDHallPhoto who had the idea of putting all of the characters, and Owl's treeΒ onto one plaque so I combined a few different E.H. Shephard illustrations, and this is the result.

The E.H. Shepard illustrations have a quaint magic about them that the WD just don't have. If you want to animate characters, you have to simplify the lines so that they're easy to re-draw a vast number of times by a vast number of animators so they lose that personal touch in the process.

It truly did turn out wonderfully. Β It's so beautiful, and I was very impressed with how it turned out.
If any of you are considering commissioning snazzie-designz for a pyrograph, I strongly suggest it. Β He was amazing to work with, very open and receptive to my ideas, and got it all down, spot on. Β I also believe it helped that I: 1. had my idea clear in my head before I contacted him, 2. was willing to work with his changes to make the project possible, and 3. left decisions that I had no experience or knowledge about in his hands.
Based on the results of this piece, which is a Christmas gift for my mother, we are now discussing several other commissions I have in mind for Christmas gifts, as well. Β I'm really looking forward to the end results of those, as well. Β I know I won't be disappointed.
